The Year I Forgot Christmas

The Year I Forgot Christmas

Which would be this year.

Now, before you go and get all huffy with me, I didn’t do it on purpose. I mean, I know Christmas is almost here. I’m not stupid. However, for the past few days we’ve had almost non-stop rain in Wisconsin. Above average temperatures for the last two months. It’s been weird.

Damn El Nino.

So it doesn’t feel like Christmas. At. All.

I had plans for a Christmas tree and decorations and it just never happened. Life got in the way. And now, Christmas is just 2 days away. I’m still trying to find gifts and I only have a few things wrapped.

Hell, my house isn’t even decorated. Which is the strangest part of all. This time of year is when I like my house the best. I usually go out and collect fresh greens and I have lights everywhere. Yeah, that didn’t happen. I didn’t do anything and I feel exhausted. Which bums me out.

I am the ultimate planner. And I failed miserably this year. So I made some Christmas Funfetti Cupcakes to make up for it.

Wishing you a very, Merry Christmas!

Whether you forgot or not!!
